Onyx Arena is a multi purpose entertainment venue in Jeddah, developed using a large scale modular tent based structure designed to support both temporary and longer term event use.
Created as a flexible live entertainment environment, the venue was designed to accommodate a wide range of events including concerts, sporting activations, cultural programming and large scale entertainment productions. The adaptable structure and infrastructure layout allowed the arena to support varying audience capacities, production requirements and operational configurations across different event formats.
Since its initial construction, Onyx Arena has continued to evolve through live operations, infrastructure upgrades and ongoing site development to support its continued use as a major event venue within Jeddah’s live entertainment landscape. The venue combines temporary event infrastructure with long term operational planning, allowing it to function as a flexible multi use arena environment capable of supporting complex live productions and public events.

our role

Following construction of Onyx Arena, Special Projects have continued supporting live events and venue operations on behalf of MDLBeast, including the Onyx event series alongside other music and sporting activations delivered within the arena environment.
Across live events, our role included managing infrastructure coordination, operational planning, supplier activity and site logistics to support efficient transitions between events whilst maintaining venue functionality throughout ongoing operations. Working within an active live entertainment venue, delivery required continuous coordination between production teams, contractors, suppliers and operational stakeholders across changing event formats and production requirements.
Special Projects have supported production load ins, infrastructure reconfiguration and operational sequencing across build, live event and transition phases, helping adapt the venue layout and infrastructure to suit different event types and audience requirements. This included coordinating temporary and permanent infrastructure integration, utilities support and operational site activity throughout the wider arena footprint.
As the venue continued to evolve following its initial construction, our role also included supporting the development of operational standards, coordination processes and infrastructure enhancements across the site. Through ongoing supplier coordination and operational management, Special Projects supported the continued use of Onyx Arena as a flexible multi purpose live entertainment venue.
