Azimuth is an electronic music event delivered by MDLBeast within the desert landscape of AlUla in Northern Saudi Arabia. Set against the backdrop of AlUla’s rock formations and open desert environment, the event combines international electronic music programming with large scale live production in a remote outdoor setting.
Running overnight from late evening through to early morning, the event features a mix of international electronic, house and techno artists alongside immersive lighting, sound and scenic production designed to respond to the surrounding landscape. The audience experience combines high energy live performance with destination style event design, attracting both local and international audiences to the site.
Designed as a large scale immersive experience, Azimuth brings together live entertainment, production technology and temporary event infrastructure within a unique desert environment. The event includes both VIP and general admission areas, with infrastructure, audience facilities and operational planning adapted to the challenges of delivering a live event within a remote outdoor location.

Special Projects delivered site management, infrastructure coordination and operational planning on behalf of MDLBeast across multiple editions of Azimuth.
Our role included overseeing the planning, procurement and delivery of all temporary event infrastructure required to operate a large scale live music event within a remote desert environment. This included coordinating suppliers, managing logistics into site and overseeing the installation and removal of infrastructure across all operational areas, supporting both VIP and general admission audiences.
Working within the constraints of a remote location in AlUla, Special Projects managed infrastructure scheduling, contractor coordination and day to day site operations throughout the build and dismantle phases. Delivery required careful planning to manage long equipment transport routes, limited local supply availability and environmental conditions affecting construction and site activity.
Our role also included supporting site design development, infrastructure planning and operational coordination across the wider festival footprint, ensuring all temporary works were delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements. Across all editions, Special Projects maintained oversight of suppliers, logistics and installation activity to support the delivery of an immersive live event experience within a complex outdoor environment.
